With every patent application Aaron Bourgeois encounters, he brings with him a viewpoint that can only be obtained with thorough technical and industry experience. Prior to joining Woodcock Washburn, Aaron spent several years working for a major telecommunications company, gaining extensive experience in telecommunications, network engineering, system administration, and software development. Aaron spent his last few years with the company as a senior member of the team responsible for the highest level of operational engineering in the company. Aaron also has several years of experience working as a software developer for a small start-up company while attending Georgia Tech. He served in many other roles there as well, including network administration, customer sales and support, billing and accounting, and office management.
These experiences give Aaron a perspective that allows him to understand the requirements of businesses of all sizes, from large established companies to small start-up firms. He brings this perspective to the table when he discusses a new invention with a client or evaluates possible courses of action for a pending application. Not only does Aaron have the ability and background necessary to understand the client’s technology, he appreciates their business needs as well.
Aaron also understands the value of time, since he attended law school at Georgia State University College of Law while working as an engineer and a patent agent at Woodcock Washburn. This well-rounded viewpoint gives Aaron the ability to provide the most effective and efficient service possible to Woodcock Washburn clients.
